Zion Hospital and Research Centre (ZHRC) is the result of a joint vision between the Bethel Medical Research Society—a group of dedicated doctors—and philanthropist Mr. Yashitsungba Ao and his family. Their mission was simple yet powerful: to bring affordable, quality healthcare to Nagaland.
The journey began in 1998 with the formation of the Bethel Medical Research Society as an NGO. After years of effort, the foundation stone for ZHRC was laid in March 2004. Despite many challenges, the hospital opened its OPD on December 5, 2005, and was officially inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Nagaland, Shri Neiphiu Rio, on February 11, 2006.
Today, ZHRC offers modern facilities, advanced medical equipment, and highly qualified professionals—all under one roof. Its core aim is to provide specialized healthcare at affordable costs, reducing the need for patients to travel outside the state for treatment.
